PLM Test Automation Engineer

Overview

PLM Windchill Test Automation Engineer for Johnson Controls’ IT Engineering Services team in Pune, focused on improving quality and reliability of global PLM systems (Windchill PDMLink and modules).

What you'll do

• Define the test automation strategy for Windchill PLM applications across business units.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, and REST Assured.
• Run automated regression, integration testing, and performance validation for Windchill modules.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to ensure coverage and resolve defects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers across Pune and other locations.
• Support Windchill upgrade and migration projects with robust test coverage.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in QA and test automation.
• At least 5 years focused on Windchill PLM.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Windchill APIs, Info*Engine, and customization testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and enterprise DevOps practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with global engineering teams.
• Exposure to SAFe Agile practices and tools.
• Certifications in ISTQB, PTC Windchill, or relevant automation tools.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
