Presale Systems Engineer - Summer 2027 Internship

Overview

Summer 2027 internship as a Presales Systems Engineer, working alongside Communication Systems Engineers to design mission-critical radio communication solutions that meet customer requirements from concept through implementation.

What you'll do

• Work with sales, product development and project management to develop technical strategies and generate proposals presenting Motorola's solution to customers.
• Provide coordination with the design and planning of customer solutions using advanced technologies, and technical support throughout the pre-sales phase.
• Support coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, system architecture design, equipment selection, proposal generation, and presentations of proposed solutions to customers.
• Take part in implementing solutions as originally conceived.
• Keep sales professionals and customers up to date on the latest Motorola Solutions technology offerings and their relevance to customer needs.

What you'll need

• High School Diploma.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with an expected graduation date on or after December 2027.
• Returning to school in the Fall of 2027.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.

Nice to have

• Experience working with customers.
• Experience or knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking.
• Experience or knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP).
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/or Amateur Radio/HAM.

Details

• Remote, full-time, Monday to Friday.
• Preferred candidates live in the Northeast/New England.
• Travel under 25%.
• No relocation provided.
