Presales Engineer

Overview

Twilio is hiring a Presales Engineer to deliver technical win and product fit for customers across the EMEA region.

What you'll do

• Partner with New business Account Executives and Solutions Engineers through the pre-sales process to strategise for deal success.
• Support business discovery and communicate the business value of Twilio solutions.
• Participate in qualification, discovery, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP response, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover customer needs and challenges.
• Build and present complex presentations and product demos, including proposing technical architectures and creative solutions.
• Share knowledge with the Solutions Engineer community by building demo assets and reusable presentations.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years in a technical pre-sales role in CPaaS, SaaS or Telecom.
• Solid understanding and experience of the sales cycle and the pre-sales engineer role.
• Solid understanding of voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience writing code in one or more of: Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, JS, or React.

Details

• Remote base in the UK or Ireland.
• Approximately 35% travel anticipated.
• Work may include ad-hoc in-person reporting for team gatherings, off-sites, or customer meetings.
