Presales Solution Architect

Overview

Lead the design and delivery of complex enterprise technology solutions for clients, translating business requirements into technical architectures, and take part in pre-sales activities as a Solution Architect at Hitachi Vantara India Private Limited.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and architecture of complex enterprise solutions, including technical specifications, data models, integration strategies, and deployment plans.
• Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and development teams to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks to meet solution requirements and architectural principles.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including high-level designs, low-level designs, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the solution development lifecycle.
• Conduct technical reviews and code reviews, and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, including presenting technical solutions to prospective clients and contributing to proposals.
• Mentor junior architects and technical team members.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a Solution Architect role, preferably within a consulting or enterprise software environment.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex enterprise-grade solutions across various domains (e.g., cloud, data analytics, IoT, enterprise applications).
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns, design principles, and best practices (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first).
• Expertise in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including IaaS, PaaS, and serverless architectures.
• Strong technical knowledge in storage, server, backup, AI, cyber resiliency, disaster recovery, and virtualization solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Nice to have

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
