Principal Analyst — Competitive Intelligence

Overview

Principal Analyst, Competitive Intelligence (CI) based in Takeda’s Global Capability Center (GCC) in India, supporting the Gastroenterology & Inflammation Business Unit (GIBU).

What you'll do

• Own the GCC design and delivery of GIBU’s most complex, high-visibility CI deliverables.
• Develop and execute CI plans for pipeline and marketed GIBU assets in the US.
• Deliver timely insights and alerts on competitor activity, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
• Integrate syndicated data, primary market research (PMR), and secondary data to assess the competitive landscape.
• Lead conference coverage activities, including pre-planning, intelligence gathering, and post-conference synthesis.
• Coordinate external CI vendors and ensure ethical/legal compliance and timeline adherence.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree required in a scientific, commercial, or quantitative field.
• 5–6 years of progressive quantitative analytical experience in competitive intelligence/insights or related roles.
• Demonstrated data storytelling and communication skills with the ability to influence decisions.
• Familiarity with CI data ecosystems including syndicated data, PMR, secondary data, and conference intelligence.
• Matrix stakeholder engagement experience across global, cross-functional teams.
• High command of written and spoken English fluency.
