Principal ATE Test Engineer

Overview

Principal ATE Test Engineer responsible for defining and leading test methodologies and strategies for new product development and production release.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end test strategy definition for new product development.
• Define and drive adoption of test methodologies, test plan development, DFT approaches, and ATE hardware design.
• Mentor test engineers and support capability growth across the team.
• Ensure robust production release with high coverage and test time optimization.
• Lead root cause analysis and yield improvement using statistical, data-driven techniques.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams worldwide.
• Influence the test roadmap and long-term strategy aligned to business and product requirements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering (master’s preferred).
• Typically 12+ years of test engineering experience for analog/mixed-signal or power management ICs.
• Extensive expertise in ATE test development (COHU DMDX, DXV, Accotest).
• Strong knowledge of DFT techniques, test coverage analysis, and production flows.
• Proven experience in complex product bring-up, debug, and production ramp.
• Advanced skills in data analysis, statistical methods, and yield optimization.
• Deep understanding of ATE instrumentation, signal integrity, and hardware design constraints.
