Principal Consultant, Incident Preparedness - Proactive Services (Unit 42)

Overview

Client-facing Principal Consultant responsible for leading proactive incident preparedness services at Unit 42. You will deliver incident preparedness engagements and provide expert advisory to help strengthen customers’ cyber resilience.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of proactive incident preparedness projects, including Tabletop Exercises (TTX), Incident Response Plan development, and Response Maturity Assessments.
• Review and analyze client documentation (Crisis Management, Incident Response, Business Continuity) to identify gaps and recommend actions.
• Design, plan, and facilitate TTXs for audiences ranging from technical teams to C-suite executives, and produce post-exercise reports with strategic insights.
• Manage engagement lifecycle from initial scoping and stakeholder alignment through final deliverable production.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by collaborating with clients and internal Unit 42 teams to enhance cyber resilience and preparedness posture.
• Share insights and applied learnings to improve service delivery methodologies and internal team knowledge.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of combined experience in incident preparedness and incident response consulting.
• Mandatory, hands-on experience in both incident response and incident preparedness with primary focus on preparedness.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, client-facing cybersecurity engagements from scoping through completion.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security/Computer Science/Cyber Security or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience presenting complex security topics and findings to executive-level stakeholders.
