Principal Engineer - Supply Chain Planning

Overview

Principal Engineer for Supply Chain Planning to build Quince’s proprietary supply chain planning platform from scratch, including AI-native forecasting and optimization systems.

What you'll do

• Architect and build a multi-vendor, multi-modal, multi-market supply chain planning platform to scale.
• Own the full model pipeline lifecycle from feature engineering through forecasting, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and refresh.
• Build integrations for vendor management, order management, and inventory so planning sits at the weekly ordering cadence center.
• Architect AI-augmented capabilities including LLM-aided observability and natural-language operator interfaces.
• Develop operator tooling such as dashboards, override workflows, audit trails, and alerts.
• Partner with business leadership to translate operational problems into engineering specifications and roadmap.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of software engineering experience building data-intensive, ML-adjacent, or science platform systems in production.
• Demonstrated 0-to-1 platform ownership from greenfield architecture through production.
• Production ML/AI platform engineering experience including feature pipelines, model serving, experiment frameworks, monitoring, drift detection, and related infrastructure.
• AI-native engineering practice and experience with AI tooling changes in shipping and quality review.
• Science literacy sufficient to build infrastructure around forecasting and optimization models.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals across full stack, including data systems, API design, pipeline orchestration, and production operations.
• Strong communication skills to translate requirements into architectural blueprints and roadmaps.
