Principal Engineer - Validation SSD NVMe/PCIe

Overview

Principal Engineer responsible for validating SSD firmware for Micron NAND-based systems, including defining test plans, scripts, and automated test integration across functional, system, and customer-quality areas.

What you'll do

• Define test plans, test cases, and develop test scripts to validate SSD firmware for Micron NAND-based systems and solutions.
• Cover validation areas across functional, system-level, and customer quality-centric tests.
• Define, develop, and implement software/firmware/device validation test plans and test content.
• Integrate tests into an automated test environment and collaborate with test execution teams to drive validation strategy.
• Review, track, and document test results and test sightings.
• Drive issues to closure by interfacing/collaborating with other product development teams.

What you'll need

• 8–14 years experience in embedded firmware, or 8+ years in SSD product validation.
• Strong competency in NVMe/PCIe specifications and NVMe Cloud SSD specifications.
• Must have hands-on debugging experience of NVMe protocol issues using Lecroy/JDSU analyzers.
• Must have prepared test plans involving IO workloads, NVMe protocols, Flash Translation Layer, and NAND media management.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux OS debugging.
• Ability to code in Python.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
