Principal Product AI Data Engineer

Overview

Principal Product AI Data Engineer for Clarivate’s MedTech team in Bangalore, leading AI-enabled data products and intelligent workflows for Life Sciences and Healthcare.

What you'll do

• Lead design, architecture, and delivery of complex generative and agentic AI systems across teams and platforms.
• Execute AI initiatives that are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business goals.
• Establish engineering standards and guide implementation best practices.
• Design AI solutions including data pipelines, architectures, and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize machine learning models.
• Build scalable ML data pipelines and model-serving architectures; integrate LLMs and AI agents into enterprise applications.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience building and delivering production-grade software, including deploying AI-powered product capabilities.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Strong experience with PySpark.
• Strong SQL and database expertise across platforms including PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Understanding of healthcare data and regulations.
• Experience with SpecKit or OpenSpec.
• Experience building and scaling big data platforms.

• Location: Bangalore, hybrid working model.
• Full-time, 40 hrs/week.
