Overview
Lead Factory Tech within Quince’s Sourcing team as Principal Product Manager for Factory OS, the operating system used by factories, mills, and vendors for planning, scheduling, capacity, quality, and compliance. Own the platform end to end and turn real-world production workflows into reliable software.
What you'll do
- Own the Factory OS product strategy from vendor and mill discovery through roadmap, specifications, and launch.
- Be accountable for adoption and measurable operational impact, including adoption, on-time production, capacity utilization, quality yield, and planning accuracy.
- Design operational workflows for production planning, scheduling, capacity management, and order and material tracking.
- Build compliance and auditability into the product, including compliance, traceability, auditability, and records for sourcing, labor, quality, and trade requirements.
- Drive adoption among vendors and mills through onboarding and change management.
- Set the AI and automation thesis for Factory OS.
- Decide which workflows to automate first and design human-in-the-loop and exception paths.
- Treat agents, APIs, and humans as composable actors in auditable, business-grade workflows.
- Partner with engineering, ML, design, sourcing, and factory operations to translate ambiguous problems into shipped products.
What you'll need
- 10+ years in product management, including senior/principal-level ownership of a complex B2B SaaS or operational software product from zero-to-one or through significant scale.
- Direct experience building workflow-automation software by turning manual, multi-step operational processes into software that runs them.
- Domain proximity to manufacturing, supply chain, or factory/operations software, including MES/MOM, ERP, planning/scheduling, quality, or sourcing systems.
- A credible point of view on AI and agents in production software, including shipped or clearly articulated agentic and human-in-the-loop automation for a real operational system.
- A track record with compliance-sensitive products where auditability, traceability, and regulatory or contractual requirements were core to the design.
- Hands-on AI fluency, using AI tools daily for discovery, specification-writing, and prototyping.
- Comfort in the field, spending time with vendors and mills and working with messy, physical, real-world operations.
Nice to have
- Experience building software used by external partners or suppliers, not just internal or single-tenant customers.
- Background in apparel, textiles, consumer goods, or hard-goods manufacturing supply chains.
