Principal Sales Engineer

Overview

Principal Sales Engineer who helps customers and prospects design and adopt Zero Trust Architecture using Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange.

What you'll do

• Facilitate consultative discovery and design workshops to uncover customer business requirements and current-state architecture.
• Design high-level Zero Trust Architecture and phased adoption roadmaps toward a Zero Trust future-state.
• Engage with customer functional teams plus Zscaler partner and internal teams to support cross-org success.
• Deliver a customer-facing persona that balances executive presence with deep technical credibility.
• Apply consultative advice to help evolve from legacy network/perimeter architectures to Zero Trust design principles.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of relevant experience (or 10+ years with an advanced degree).
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.
• Advanced product expertise and capability for end-to-end enterprise architecture solution selling.
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN, GRE, IPsec, Layer-7 firewalls, Web Proxies, Load Balancing, and DLP.
• Strong familiarity with NIST Zero Trust Architecture and related laws/regulations/standards/frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience architecting/advising on AI-driven threat detection, automated security analytics, or AI/ML integration in Zero Trust frameworks.
• Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese to communicate with regional customers.
