Principal Software Engineer

Overview

Principal Software Engineer role focused on leading the design and delivery of sophisticated software and services with strategic impact.

What you'll do

• Design sophisticated software and services with strategic impact.
• Write and review design documents with platform engineering and architecture peers.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams delivering software/services to production.
• Partner with teams to evolve systems for re-usability and resiliency.
• Mentor and develop junior software engineers.
• Support security, software licensing, and regulatory audits with required documentation and evidence.
• Collaborate to implement controls and procedures to address compliance gaps or risks.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• Authority in problem-solving, including analyzing complex problems and identifying root causes.
• Authority in adapting to new technologies and processes and working independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to engage and influence peers through to senior leaders.
• Authority in Claude Code or similar and at least one programming language (C#, Python, or TypeScript) for cross-platform solutions.
• Validated experience writing secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code with minimal defects.
• Expertise in building and scaling infrastructure services using Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.

• Travel: Up to 10% travel expected.
