Process Engineer - Rubber

Overview

The Process Engineer - Rubber develops, industrializes, maintains, and continuously improves rubber and thermoplastic extrusion and rubber compression processes, products, equipment, and production capabilities.

What you'll do

• Develop and industrialize extrusion projects for TPE and rubber, and compression projects for rubber.
• Develop new rubber and thermoplastic products or materials originating from P2 projects.
• Develop new profiles originating from design offices or product integration.
• Develop new processes linked to technological advancements at the Product Group level, where necessary.
• Develop equipment and resources for the extrusion workshop to improve the quality and productivity of the product/process combination.
• Document machine capacities against requirements defined by the PMT, including capacity needs and new technologies.
• Periodically review and update data to prepare budgets.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, SPV, and P0 teams to implement cost-reduction initiatives, including scrap reduction, material productivity, cycle time reduction, and SMED.
• Provide technical support to the rubber and thermoplastics production workshop.
• Drive continuous improvement of rubber and thermoplastic processes.
• Improve machine OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Drive improvement through Action Plans.
• Sustain technical expertise.
• Define activity-related standards and improve methodologies.
• Operate in compliance with rules defined by V5000, OHSAS, and ISO 50001.
• Manage projects in accordance with established procedures for Industrial Projects or Modifications.
• Know and enforce safety and environmental rules and constraints within the scope of responsibility.
• Train operators and technicians on newly implemented technologies and newly industrialized products.
• Comply with and apply Safety, Environmental, and Energy rules and associated standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
