Process Engineer

Overview

The Senior Process Engineer will perform process engineering activities and support the lead process engineer in meeting project schedule and quality requirements.

What you'll do

• Develop process design bases and design philosophies.
• Review and perform process simulations and develop heat and mass balances.
• Develop PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs and safety charts.
• Perform hydraulic, equipment sizing, relief valve and flare load calculations.
• Develop utility balances, UFDs and utility summaries.
• Review vendor offers and prepare technical bid analyses.
• Coordinate project planning, scheduling and activities across engineering disciplines.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of process engineering experience.
• Knowledge of HYSYS and Flarenet.
• Experience with process control configurations and ESD systems.
• Knowledge of engineering practices, international standards, codes and specifications.
• Experience in FEED or detailed engineering project stages.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, refinery, offshore, utilities or offsites industries.

Nice to have

• Experience designing fired heaters, heat exchangers and columns.
• Knowledge of pre-commissioning, commissioning or operations.

• Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
• Work location may include Chennai or Bangalore.
• Willingness to travel between KBR offices is required.
