Procurement Associate

Overview

GDC Procurement Associate responsible for delivering the Source to Contract service across one or multiple regions for indirect categories such as Marketing & Sales, Professional & Corporate Services and IT.

What you'll do

• Execute sourcing and contracting projects for the spend categories in scope, working closely with stakeholders and partnering with the LOC and Global Category team.
• Deliver benefits identified in strategies, local, regional and global, through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost and innovation.
• Ensure GSK's Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies are followed in a compliant way within your area of responsibility.
• Support category leads in the creation and delivery of effective savings targets agreed with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the agreed Savings Methodology.
• Deliver savings and other set KPIs critical to the global procurement plan in line with the Savings Methodology and global budgets.
• Partner with Category & LOC Procurement teams to execute global, regional and local sourcing projects.
• Execute and deliver contracting requirements in line with organization's requirements.
• Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across procurement and related functions.
• Learn to navigate organizational structures and processes so you can deliver on agreed goals effectively.
• Adapt to changing business needs and priorities, showing flexibility and a willingness to learn new ways of working.

What you'll need

• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• A good understanding or strong interest in learning procurement processes, contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, cost analysis and supplier relationship management.
• Operating at pace and agile decision-making, using evidence and applying judgement to balance pace, rigour and risk.
• Keen to learn how to work with complex business processes in supplier transactions, including risk, regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Good communication and MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using procurement tools such as Ariba, Fairmarkit, IronClad or other equivalent sourcing and contracting technology.
• Enthusiasm to learn and embrace digital and AI opportunities to bring further efficiencies to the Procurement process.
