Procurement Specialist

Overview

Procurement Specialist role at ABB managing the end-to-end purchasing process, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing support.

What you'll do

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including launching purchase orders, confirming deliveries, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure timely and effective execution.
• Align supplier orders with internal requirements, ensuring quality, timely delivery, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Build good day-to-day relationships with approved suppliers and collaborate with local and international teams.
• Oversee goods receipt verification and invoice processing, ensuring accurate and smooth execution of procurement transactions.
• Support supplier scouting together with Category teams and manage the supplier onboarding process through SAP Ariba.
• Support strategic sourcing activities by executing sourcing strategies, handling tactical negotiations and small RFQs, analyzing spend, and comparing supplier proposals.
• Support digitalization, automation, and continuous improvement within procurement processes, and collaborate in cross-functional and virtual teams and international projects.

What you'll need

• 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or buyer roles, with a good understanding of procurement processes.
• Highly adept in SAP Purchasing Module and SAP Ariba, with practical experience using both systems.
• Comfortable with flexible shifts.
• Any graduate with Finance / Business Management degree.
• Solid Excel and digital skills, with openness to using technology to improve ways of working.
• Comfortable communicating in local language and in Business English at C1 level, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to utilize AI/digital tools and create AI Agents to support daily operations, with responsible use respecting data classification, information security, and confidentiality requirements.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and solution-oriented, with ability to handle shifting priorities and openness to innovation.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Experience working in international and virtual team environments is considered.
