Procurement Specialist

Overview

Procurement Specialist (Direct Materials) within Roche India’s Global Procurement Delivery group, focusing on sourcing and delivery for third-party goods and services.

What you'll do

• Conduct market and internal analysis to develop sourcing strategies and tactical plans for Direct Materials.
• Deliver sourcing strategies using spend/category knowledge, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and project management.
• Develop procurement content and automation to translate sourcing outcomes into automated buying channels.
• Plan activities including market research, RFx document development, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.
• Lead procurement forums and bi-monthly sessions with business group leads.
• Drive procurement initiatives such as training, technology implementation, and best-practice sharing.

What you'll need

• 5+ years procurement experience in sourcing, simple contracting, and operational efficiency projects or related commodity experience.
• University degree, preferably in business or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of procurement systems and processes and expertise in Direct Materials.
• Strong working knowledge of the SAP system as it relates to Direct Materials.
• Skills in project management.
• Fluency in English at a Business level.
