Product Engineer II

Overview

Product Engineer for Cadence's flagship Tempus signoff ECO solution, validating, improving and regressing the product to achieve high quality.

What you'll do

• Validate, improve and regress Cadence's Tempus signoff ECO solution product.
• Work closely with R&D and senior product engineers to define product specifications.
• Work with product release teams to enhance product quality for Tempus ECO customers and market needs.
• Develop product flows to improve quality and performance.
• Define test methodologies and automate processes to make the overall system efficient.

What you'll need

• MS in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or BE/BTech in Electrical/Computer/Electronics Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Static Timing Analysis, Signal Integrity, Delay calculation, timing constraints, report_timing commands, timing analysis, Verilog and debug skills.
• Experience in timing and power closure with ECO (automated and manual).
• Familiar with front-end / back-end design flow knowledge of design.
• Experience in physical design implementation platforms like Innovus or similar tools.
• Able to envision automation requirements and execute them in a scripting language such as Perl, TCL, Python or C Shell.
• Passionate, self-motivated, fast learner, capable of significantly contributing individually and as a team player.
• Good communication skills for effective cross-geographic communication.
• Knowledge of QA practices, methodologies, and procedures.
• Good understanding of scripting languages TCL, Perl and shell.
• Problem-solving attitude: ability to identify complex problems, review related information, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrate teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to establish a close working relationship with customer peers and management.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of timing sign-off solution experience, at block or full chip level.
