Product Installation Engineer - SPTS - 90% Travel. Ft Collins Colorado based

Overview

Own the installation of new semiconductor inspection and metrology tools at customer sites, troubleshooting system-level problems and supporting junior engineers. The role involves 80-90% domestic and international travel.

What you'll do

• Own installation of new tools at customer sites independently, requiring guidance from managers only occasionally.
• Follow all procedures and deliver consistent results within specified cycle times, exercising judgment within generally defined practices and policies.
• Achieve predictable production-ready status for installed tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex system-level problems during installations using standard procedures, troubleshooting techniques and install BKMs.
• Know when to escalate and communicate clearly, providing all previous actions and data to obtain needed help.
• Take full ownership of installation administrative tasks, including field service reports and daily pass-downs on installation progress and non-conformances.
• Contribute to post-activity Quality Feedback Reports.
• Obtain all necessary international travel documents and manage personal affairs to be ready for extended travel.
• Manage personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities.
• Travel 80-90% domestically and internationally by commercial transportation to customer sites.
• Assist junior engineers as necessary, providing guidance, technical assistance and phone and on-site support.
• Develop basic POAs.

What you'll need

• 3 years of experience in semiconductor or related field, or military service experience.
• US citizenship required.

• Location: Virtual/Remote USA; primary location USA-CO-Remote-US03K (Fort Collins, Colorado based).
• Travel: 80-90% domestic and international to customer sites.
• Base pay range: $33.75 - $57.36 per hour.
