Product Lead, AI Email App

Overview

Lead the product for an AI-native email application, aligning user needs, model capabilities, and engineering constraints.

What you'll do

• Define end-to-end requirements for AI behavior, system behavior, and user experience.
• Translate model capabilities, evaluation results, and constraints into product/system decisions.
• Make trade-offs across quality, latency, cost, reliability, safety, and UX.
• Partner with ML, backend, and client engineers on system design, evaluation, and iteration.
• Define and evolve evaluation frameworks using offline metrics, online experiments, and human feedback.
• Own quality end-to-end, including correctness, reliability, usefulness, and user trust.
• Identify failure modes and ensure predictable, graceful recovery for AI systems.

What you'll need

• Strong computer science fundamentals and system design skills.
• Solid understanding of modern ML and how AI systems behave in production.
• Experience owning complex, technical products end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered products, especially LLM-based systems.
• Experience with model evaluation, experimentation, prompting, or AI system iteration.
• Comfort reading technical designs and engaging deeply with engineers.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into measurable requirements and executable plans.
