Overview
Product Owner responsible for prioritising and owning software features developed by a high-performing, self-managing and dynamic team delivering mining software solutions for enterprise customers.
What you'll do
- Refine the program backlog for the Product Owner’s software team for each Program Increment to ensure successful delivery of committed customer value per release.
- Work with the team to agree on accepted feature completion, including validating feature completeness, adherence to acceptance criteria, test plan completeness, automation test coverage, and compliance with the prescribed Definition of Done (DoD).
- Collaborate with architects and technical leads on decision-making and sequencing of critical technological infrastructure required for feature delivery enablement, including modernising the codebase, introducing new components of the architectural runway, and managing technical debt.
- Represent the team at stakeholder and planning meetings to ensure upcoming work is planned, scheduled and detailed.
- Communicate the team’s progress to stakeholders.
- Own the priority of work for the team and align it with Solution Management priorities so the right features are developed and delivered according to the whole-of-solution plan.
- Own the product and functional areas that the team primarily develops.
- Become the subject matter expert in how the product functions and what future opportunities may be.
What you'll need
- 7+ years’ experience working with software teams as a Product Owner and/or Business Analyst, or equivalent field.
- 7+ years’ experience in mining.
- Experience leading agile teams and working with agile methodologies such as SAFe and scrum.
- Experience with software-based Product Development, including owning, identifying and delivering value for customers.
- Strong customer focus and dedication to delivering a quality outcome for the customer.
- Willingness to take feedback on board and provide feedback to colleagues, junior staff and leaders.
- Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of modern technologies and methods of working.
