Overview
Join the Agile team as a Release Train Manager at vice president level, responsible for aligning vision, planning and interdependencies across multiple teams and supporting consistent Agile delivery at scale.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain the release train.
- Prepare and review the release and environment strategy, including plans, estimation and management of interdependencies.
- Provide cross-team synchronisation and clarify how work helps customers.
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery, including improving or removing manual steps.
- Demonstrably improve release train agility and value to end state customers.
- Enhance deployment and management phases of the development lifecycle through Agile coaching and active contribution to release and environment best practice.
- Facilitate and foster preparation of release and sprint vision, goals and work pipelines.
- Facilitate pre- and post-planning meetings.
- Build and communicate release calendars and iterative planning cycles.
- Synchronise with other release train managers across domains.
- Aggregate programme release objectives into value streams release objectives where they exist and publish them for visibility and transparency.
- Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating estimation by teams and the roll-up to programme and portfolio levels.
What you'll need
- Expert understanding of running complex projects spanning multiple scrum and non-scrum teams.
- At least 12 years of experience in a combined Product Owner and/or Project Manager role.
- Strong track record of managing technically complex products in close partnership with both business stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and gravitas to engage senior business leaders.
- Exposure to working with data platforms, data aggregation, or AI/ML-driven products.
