Overview
The Experienced Product Owner owns the Workday Compensation & Advanced Compensation modules end-to-end for Revantage and its PortCos. The role combines functional Workday expertise, stakeholder engagement, product strategy, roadmap and release ownership, hands-on configuration, delivery, and platform optimization.
What you'll do
- Own the Compensation & Advanced Compensation Workday modules from strategy and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Develop and maintain functional expertise, staying current with Workday product updates, roadmap changes, and community best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation resource for the modules across all PortCos.
- Maintain knowledge of upstream and downstream systems and processes and design solutions with those dependencies in mind.
- Identify complementary or supplementary technologies, including AI-powered tools, third-party integrations, and adjacent platforms.
- Build relationships with HR leaders, operations teams, and business stakeholders across multiple PortCos.
- Understand each PortCo's workforce model, business context, and HR priorities.
- Run Product Owner forums, working groups, and user communities to surface requirements, share updates, and drive alignment.
- Manage competing PortCo priorities by communicating trade-offs, timelines, and decisions clearly.
- Facilitate requirements workshops and design sessions and translate business needs into Workday solutions.
- Own and maintain the module roadmap across strategic enhancements, PortCo requirements, bug fixes, and Workday release adoption.
- Evaluate every Workday bi-annual release for impact and opportunity, leading opt-in decisions, testing, and rollout planning.
- Prioritize the backlog with stakeholders, the Functional Architect, and People Technology leadership.
- Deliver enhancements with change management, training, and communications for end users and HR teams.
- Track and report delivery and benefit realization of roadmap initiatives.
- Configure, test, validate, and deploy Workday functionality in the module area.
- Lead user acceptance testing for enhancements and releases.
- Create design documents, configuration specifications, and test plans before deployment.
- Own day-to-day delivery.
- Evaluate HR technology innovations relevant to the module area, including AI in recruiting, manager effectiveness tools, and payroll analytics.
- Propose and build business cases for technology enhancements or new tool adoption.
- Collaborate with Workday, Paradox, HiredScore, Peakon, and other vendors to stay ahead of product developments and advocate for Revantage's priorities.
- Support compensation structures, merit and bonus planning, compensation cycles, global pay practices, integrations, and reporting.
- Configure grade profiles, salary ranges, pay bands, compensation plans, and eligibility rules.
- Configure merit matrices, bonus plans, target amounts, proration rules, and manager worksheets.
- Configure annual and off-cycle reviews, approval routing, budget pools, and cycle administration.
- Support long-term incentive plans, equity award management, one-time payments, and complex plan eligibility.
- Support multi-currency compensation, country-specific allowances, cost-of-living adjustments, and grade localization.
- Support payroll input mapping, compensation statement generation, compensation data audits, and Prism-ready pay analytics.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of Workday functional experience with deep, hands-on expertise in at least two Workday modules.
- Demonstrated experience owning a Workday module in a production environment, including enhancements, releases, stakeholder management, and roadmap ownership.
- Strong understanding of Workday business process configuration, security roles, reporting, and calculated fields.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior HR stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience running forums, steering committees, or user communities across a distributed stakeholder base.
- Global Workday implementation or support experience, with the ability to navigate multi-jurisdiction complexity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and business concepts for technical audiences.
- Salary structures, merit and bonus planning, compensation cycles, and global pay practices configuration and operational support experience.
- Experience with compensation structures, including grade profiles, salary ranges, pay bands, compensation plans, and eligibility rules.
- Experience with merit and bonus planning, including merit matrices, bonus plans, target amounts, proration rules, and manager worksheet setup.
- Experience with compensation cycles, including annual and off-cycle review configuration, approval routing, budget pools, and cycle administration.
- Experience with Advanced Compensation, including long-term incentive plans, equity award management, one-time payments, and complex plan eligibility.
- Experience with global pay practices, including multi-currency compensation, country-specific allowances, cost-of-living adjustments, and grade localization.
- Experience with integrations and reporting, including payroll input mapping, compensation statement generation, compensation data audits, and Prism-ready pay analytics.

- Additional Workday module expertise.
- Experience working in a multi-entity, multi-PortCo, or shared-services HR technology model.
- Workday Pro certification in one or more relevant modules.
- Experience with third-party HR technology integrations and vendor management.
- Exposure to change management methodologies and communication planning.
- Prior experience in private equity, financial services, or multi-company real estate environments.
- Familiarity with Agile or product management frameworks, including backlog management, sprint planning, and road mapping tools.
