Product Security Engineer

Overview

Product Security Engineer for developer-first product security governance, automation, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Establish and maintain governance processes for product security controls with end-to-end traceability.
• Define, monitor, and report compliance against product security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Integrate product security reviews early in the software development lifecycle.
• Develop automated dashboards, KPIs, and security metrics for engineering and leadership.
• Build data pipelines that pull security and product data via APIs, store it, and power executive dashboards.
• Automate synchronization and management of security evidence and documentation across systems.
• Develop and deliver product security training and measure training effectiveness.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in application security, product security, secure SDLC, DevSecOps, or security governance.
• Strong software development background with required proficiency in Python and/or PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST APIs for security tool integration and automated workflows.
• Experience building dashboards/KPI reports/security metrics using Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
• Experience with data pipeline concepts (pulling from APIs, storing in databases, formatting for reporting).
• Knowledge of security governance frameworks including NIST SSDF, OWASP SAMM, ISO 27001, or IEC 62443.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management for presenting security data to teams and leadership.
