Professional Services Engineer - West

Overview

Lead the technical direction and delivery of customer Professional Services engagements involving GitLab architectures, deployments, migrations, and DevOps/DevSecOps consulting. The role covers customer discovery through implementation and handoff in a remote, asynchronous environment.

What you'll do

• Design GitLab reference architectures for self-managed and cloud environments.
• Lead source code management and CI/CD migrations using Congregate.
• Deploy and configure GitLab with Terraform, Ansible, and the GitLab Environment Toolkit.
• Lead technical delivery from scoping and discovery through implementation and handoff.
• Coordinate implementation work across employees, partners, and customer stakeholders.
• Provide DevOps and DevSecOps consulting and best-practice guidance.
• Maintain delivery automation assets and validate changes with testing and code review.

What you'll need

• Experience delivering at least two listed consulting services, including cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, CI/CD, or source code management migration.
• Experience designing and implementing reliable, scalable DevOps platforms.
• Hands-on experience with cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience using Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience performing migrations to GitLab using Congregate or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer and partner discussions.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another advanced technical degree, or equivalent experience.

• Location in PST, MST, or CST timezone alignment.

• United States salary range: $123,840–$209,520 USD yearly.
