Job description

Overview

Lead complex, global, cross-functional IT strategic programs from strategy through execution, operating at the intersection of business strategy, technology and execution while partnering with senior leaders and diverse global teams.

What you'll do

  • Lead complex, global, cross-functional IT strategic programs from strategy through execution by developing integrated project plans, linking execution activities to business objectives, and ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and outcomes are actively managed
  • Apply broad IT delivery experience and structured problem-solving to address non-routine and difficult program challenges, assess options, interpret complex information, and drive practical solutions across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups
  • Drive strategic alignment and execution across interconnected workstreams, proactively managing cross-program dependencies, competing priorities, risks, resource constraints, and critical decisions to keep programs focused on intended business outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner and provide decision-ready recommendations to PMO and IT leadership by synthesizing program health, trade-offs, risks, financial/resource impacts, stakeholder considerations, and escalation needs into clear executive-level communications
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders across IT functions, vendors, and business partners to align priorities, manage differing perspectives, remove barriers, and maintain execution momentum without direct people-management authority
  • Manage conversations with senior stakeholders across IT and business, driving decision-making and ensuring timely progress
  • Connect business priorities with technology execution by developing a strong understanding of the technology landscape, recognizing interdependencies across platforms and functions, and helping teams navigate the business and technical implications of blockers, scope decisions, and solution choices
  • Establish strong program governance and execution discipline, including stakeholder governance and cadence, charters, integrated plans and roadmaps, RAID and dependency management, decision tracking and financial oversight
  • Apply a foundational understanding of IT financials (costing, budgeting, actuals tracking)
  • Support US and EU stakeholder collaboration enabling effective program governance, leadership updates, and cross-time-zone execution

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline and 9+ years of experience in IT Consulting, IT project management, program management, technology delivery, PMO, IT transformation, business analysis, or related information technology roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, business critical IT projects or programs across multiple workstreams, functions, locations, vendors, or stakeholder groups, with accountability for project plans, outcomes, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and decision tracking
  • Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into integrated project plans and roadmaps that connect program activities to business objectives, stakeholder needs, delivery goals, and measurable outcomes
  • Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, evaluate alternatives and trade-offs, anticipate downstream impacts, and develop practical recommendations for leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior IT and business stakeholders, facilitate difficult conversations, create alignment across competing priorities, and drive timely decisions without relying on direct authority
  • Strong understanding of program governance and delivery disciplines, including integrated planning, roadmap management, RAID management, dependency management, resource planning, executive reporting, and decision governance
  • Hands-on experience with program delivery, reporting, and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and Jira
  • Flexibility to collaborate with stakeholders across the US and EU and work effectively across time zones

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, Smartsheet, Power BI, or related project/program management certification
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale transformation or strategic technology initiatives in a matrixed enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting strategic IT programs across more than one IT domain, such as applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, digital, ERP, M&A, separation, or business technology
  • Experience providing consulting assistance to senior management, preparing leadership-ready recommendations, and presenting program updates to department heads, functional leaders, or business stakeholders
