Project Engineer

Overview

Project Engineer – Automation responsible for end-to-end engineering and execution of automation projects.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end automation project engineering and execution across FEED/Concept to commissioning and handover.
• Execute automation projects through Detailed Engineering, FAT, SAT, Commissioning, and Project Closure.
• Act as a technical interface to end customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with ABB quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards.
• Deliver engineering scope against contract requirements, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and cybersecurity policies.
• Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
• Design and engineer automation systems, industrial networking, and cybersecurity; implement solutions using industrial communication protocols.

What you'll need

• Proven project engineer experience in automation projects.
• Typically 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated execution of end-to-end projects (FEED → Commissioning).
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals, and Specialty Chemicals.
• Willing to travel abroad as per project requirements.
• BE/BTech/Diploma in Instrumentation, Control Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent.
