Project Lead Engineer - Substations

Overview

Lead engineering authority for low to high complexity Substations and EBOP engineering projects and tenders, delivering assignments cost-effectively and to contract specifications and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Drive the technical solution in coordination with System, Primary/Mechanical, Secondary/Electrical and Control Engineering, and support the Tender Manager or Project Manager for assigned Power Systems projects and tenders.
• Understand Systems Engineering and complete a full review of equipment sizing.
• Evaluate risks and opportunities and strategize mitigation across engineering disciplines.
• Interact with customers, contractors and suppliers.
• Attend project and tender meetings and present all technical aspects of assignments.
• Collaborate and network with engineering colleagues within the organization.
• Share best practices across projects and disciplines.
• Evaluate the overall cost of engineering disciplines and obtain approval from the Business Unit Head.
• Use standard processes, tools and techniques.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with Project/Tendering team, Project Managers, SCM, Civil/steel design, MEP, Commissioning, Consultants and end customers.

• eBOP exposure with Systems Engineering knowledge.
