Overview
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mission-critical data centre cooling infrastructure projects, covering HVAC plants, chiller systems, precision cooling, chilled water networks, controls integration, and related mechanical infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end execution of data centre cooling and HVAC chiller projects, from design review through commissioning and handover.
- Manage projects involving chillers, CRAH/CRAC/Fan wall units, liquid cooling, CDU units, chilled water systems, condenser water systems, pumps, cooling towers or dry coolers, piping networks, valves, insulation, and controls.
- Coordinate with design consultants, MEP teams, OEMs, controls teams, contractors, and data centre operations stakeholders.
- Review mechanical and HVAC design drawings, equipment layouts, P&IDs, technical specifications, BOQs, and method statements.
- Oversee installation, testing, balancing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning, and integrated system validation of cooling systems.
- Ensure proper sequencing and execution in live or partially live mission-critical environments with minimal operational risk.
- Manage interfaces between HVAC/mechanical systems and electrical, BMS, EPMS, fire protection, and building management systems.
- Track project scope, cost, timelines, risks, change orders, and contractor performance.
- Drive vendor and contractor alignment on equipment delivery, installation quality, commissioning readiness, and defect closure.
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards, statutory requirements, site safety rules, and company policies.
- Support energy-efficient design and execution practices, including optimization of plant performance, redundancy, and reliability.
- Prepare and present project reviews, site progress updates, risk registers, and executive status reports.
- Lead project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, training, snag closure, and final handover.
