Property Adjuster - Field Estimating - Seattle, WA

Overview

Field Property Adjuster who travels to customers' homes to inspect property damage, investigate coverage, prepare estimates and settle claims promptly. Strong focus on water losses, with other perils such as minor fire, wind/hail and miscellaneous property claims.

What you'll do

• Travel to customers' homes to perform on-site inspections and investigate coverage.
• Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly.
• Handle virtual claims using tools such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.
• Deliver a compassionate, clear and supportive claims experience.
• Assess property damage, review details and determine coverage.
• Keep customers informed using phone, email or video as needed.
• Reach fair settlements with customers, vendors and other carriers.
• Use tools, resources and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate, timely records in the claims system.

What you'll need

• Willing and able to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one to two-story roof.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements.
• Residency within the Seattle Metro area is mandatory.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in property adjusting, water mitigation or independent adjusting, along with estimating.
• Xactimate proficiency (highly desired).
• Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide effectively.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

Details

• Location: Seattle, WA (USA - WA, Remote).
• Approximately 2 weeks of required training in Wheeling, IL or Dallas, TX.
• As a condition of employment, the office/area may require an adjuster and/or appraiser license, to be secured within 60 days of hire.
• May qualify for a company car based on annual work mileage; personal vehicle mileage reimbursed.
• Compensation: $68,000 - $115,245, based on experience and qualifications.
• Background investigation required.
• Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position.
