Purchasing Analyst

Overview

Purchasing Analyst role in Navi Mumbai, India, handling tactical sourcing and Source to Pay activities for the Logistics commercial area.

What you'll do

• Use Oracle Transportation Management System, SAP, VIP and Zycus to perform pricing, rate validation and accessorial implementation.
• Provide the needed information and enter new and/or updated contract agreements and vendor codes in SAP.
• Work with data and upload it accurately and timely into the system.
• Use visualization tools like Power BI to expedite work processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot data disconnects between suppliers and systems that impact the end-to-end process.
• Provide sourcing support for Dow businesses or functions by working with partners to clarify scope of service, quality, volume and logistics requirements for new and existing purchases.
• Resolve process or supplier issues escalated from the Procure to Pay (PtP) and Supply Chain teams.
• Manage tactical sourcing activities including sourcing, data management, special projects and client service.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree (relevant discipline).
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience with understanding of the End to End Purchasing Process.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written), an improvement mindset, and an elevated level of initiative and motivation.
• Ability to explain complex technical information to members of your own team and other teams.
• Ability to flexibly align your schedule with international time zones.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with SAP (or similar ERP), OTM and Zycus.
• Familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, e.g. macros, pivots, charting and power queries.
• Basic knowledge of Service Now (or similar tool).
• Exposure to the chemical industry or other manufacturing companies.
• Awareness of Six Sigma and Lean principles.
