QA Engineer

Overview

QA Engineer for enterprise storage platforms, validating VMstore releases through automated and hands-on testing across storage, hypervisor integrations, and encryption.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, automate, and execute test plans and test cases for storage platforms.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and drive issues to resolution.
• Run sanity, smoke, performance, and stress testing coverage.
• Document test execution processes and results.

What you'll need

• Strong programming ability with hands-on scripting experience (preferably Python).
• Good understanding of NVMe, SAS, and SATA concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Linux troubleshooting and debugging.
• Experience with any one hypervisor.

Nice to have

• Understanding of NAS and SMB protocols.
• Knowledge of storage platform components including SSD, DIMM, RAID, IPMI, and BMC.
• Understanding of storage encryption concepts.
