QA Engineer - Royal Lounge Casino

Overview

Scopely is hiring a QA Engineer for the Royal Lounge Casino team, working on studio games across mobile and web platforms in a hybrid arrangement in Bangalore.

What you'll do

• Write, maintain and execute test cases for studio games on mobile (Android/iOS/Kindle) and web platforms, covering most devices and browsers.
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing of desktop and mobile applications, including network data and logs.
• Work closely with the scrum team, producers and QA lead to ensure submissions meet high quality standards.
• Actively communicate with developers and business stakeholders to conduct defect triage and reduce defect age.
• Provide defect root cause analysis along with corrective and preventive action plans.
• Work in an agile environment and ensure timely product delivery.
• Provide tradeoffs, risks and risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of studio games, including various corner cases.
• Prepare test documentation to improve the quality of the application.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in software testing.
• Passion for gaming and enjoyment of playing casual games.
• Good understanding of client-server architecture.
• Familiarity with web and mobile platforms from a QA perspective.
• Experience in test design and execution techniques.
• Experience with Charles Proxy, Firebug, Fiddler, Jira, TestRail, Crashlytics or similar tools.
• Ability to write QA documentation, including test cases, training materials and test plans.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Strong exploratory testing skills and the knowledge to apply the right level of testing approach.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
