Overview
QA Specialist, Technical Translator—works as a subject matter expert to translate technical and organizational documentation with accuracy and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do
- Translate technical, operational, and organizational documents across multiple departments using internal standards.
- Ensure linguistic quality, clarity, and alignment with site terminology and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain documentation alignment with approved templates, controlled language, and quality system requirements.
- Act as SME for translation workflows and tools, supporting teams with document wording and structure.
- Deliver translations on time by managing workload and shifting priorities for site due dates.
- Review, edit, and proofread translated content for correctness and compliance.
- Collaborate with team members and Operations to define priorities and support documentation readiness.
What you'll need
- Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in technical translation.
- Proven experience translating technical documentation (ideally in pharmaceutical, chemical, or highly regulated GxP environments).
- Excellent German and English command (written and spoken) to capture complex technical nuances.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency across large volumes of documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with translation software/tools and standard office applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on collaborative problem-solving and communication with stakeholders.
