QA & Testing Associate Advisor - HIH - Evernorth

Overview

Implement QA practices and processes across the PBM organization, maintaining Safe agile practices and ensuring the overall integrity of the testing strategy while working closely with software developers and other testers in small scrum teams.

What you'll do

• Create, compare and manipulate data; create, maintain and execute test plans and test cases
• Estimate test efforts; analyze and communicate test results; track defects
• Participate in day-to-day testing activities
• Ensure regression test scripts are current and in the appropriate format for automation
• Work with business partners and IT staff to establish and implement a consistent testing methodology
• Identify and prepare complex test data to support the test cases defined by the team
• Support senior team members and design a comprehensive testing strategy and build test suites
• Develop and maintain regression test beds and schedule test cycles
• Leverage the testing process and test tool kit to create re-usable test sets
• Perform test execution, both manual and automated
• Perform UAT of functional requirements
• Utilize appropriate testing tools
• Assist in the coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and End to End (E2E) testing
• Validate and report progress, risks, issues and defects to the agile team
• Communicate with business partners and agile team members throughout the project life cycle to assist and support the design, development and implementation of effective systems and deliverables
• Support PI Planning, retrospectives, daily stand-up meetings and business demonstrations
• Support all post-implementation activities, such as post-implementation testing and lessons learned analysis
• Bring new testing knowledge and methodologies to the team
• Provide counsel and advice across several stakeholders on QA matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
• Provide thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines and act as a lead within the team, mentoring junior team members

What you'll need

• Proficiency with most of the following: test automation, Selenium, Sauce Labs, Java, TestNG, Cucumber, strong SQL
• Testing and triaging of defects and issues
• Knowledge of defect tracking and task tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of build automation and deployment tools such as Jenkins, and source code repository tools such as Git
• Good understanding of multiple test automation frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Strong influencing/negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal/relationship skills
• Strong time and project management skills
• Familiarity with agile methodology, including SCRUM team leadership
• Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example
• 8-11 years of experience
• Experience with an onshore/offshore model
• Proven experience testing large-scale enterprise application solutions
• College degree (Bachelor) in a related technical/business area, or equivalent work experience

• Coaching of junior team members

Details

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week
• Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate
• Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India, in a hybrid model (3 days work from office and 2 days work from home)
