Quality Engineer

Overview

As an Applications Quality Lead Analyst, drive product quality and delivery through automation initiatives, especially in generative AI, targeting a fully automated platform with minimal manual QA intervention.

What you'll do

• Drive product quality and delivery through automation initiatives, especially in generative AI.
• Collaborate with development teams and Product Owners to formulate comprehensive requirements and propose innovative, efficient solutions.
• Define and drive the strategy for quality automation.
• Oversee testing priorities, road mapping for releases, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a central point of contact for interdepartmental communication, ensuring alignment and seamless collaboration across various project impacts.
• Provide technical expertise.
• Mentor mid-level developers and analysts.
• Establish standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Proactively assess risk.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Maintain clear, concise communication across all organizational levels.

What you'll need

• 4-8 years of experience in Applications Development, systems analysis, or a similar tech lead role.
• Proven experience in product ownership, quality assurance, or a hybrid role within a technology-driven environment.
• Proven working experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within the Capital Markets domain.
• Strong proficiency in core Java.
• Solid experience with scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
• Expertise in building and using frameworks based on BDD, such as Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Hands-on experience with widely used test automation frameworks such as Rest-Assured for API, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Good experience with Backend Automation using Python for Data Validation and Accuracy checks.
• Extensive experience with system analysis, software application programming, and managing successful projects.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies, with experience driving automation initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and Subject Matter Expertise in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, ensuring effective dissemination of information.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Automation Testing frameworks and tools.
• Experience with Generative AI concepts and their application in product development or quality assurance.
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as Copilot.
• Proficiency in modern testing frameworks and tools like Playwright, Selenium, and JUnit.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an ability to adjust priorities quickly.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
