R&D Principal Engineer

Overview

Lead the analysis, design and development of product features for Connectivity Packages within ABB's Electrification Business Distribution Solutions Division in Bangalore, India, supporting R&D employees in meeting agreed R&D targets.

What you'll do

• Support R&D employees in achieving agreed R&D targets, and coach and develop the team each day.
• Analyze, design and develop product features for Connectivity Packages.
• Apply R&D processes and tools soundly.
• Align with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and complete project deliverables.
• Lead and collaborate with the team to deliver product releases on time and with good quality.
• Propose innovative solutions for customer requirements.
• Design and implement product features based on requirements.
• Define product features based on MRS, maintaining UI/UX design concepts.
• Help manage technologies, platforms and Intellectual Property.
• Provide input for technical documentation and online help.
• Provide input for creating test cases for customer requirements.
• Analyze and provide estimation based on the complexity of tasks.

What you'll need

• BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics and Communication, or Electronics and Instrumentation.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in software development using .NET technologies.
• Expert in design and development in C#, WPF and .NET.
• Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems (communication with IEC61850) and Azure.
• Good communication skills.
• Innovative, with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of design concepts.
• Familiarity with continuous integration using GIT.

Nice to have

• Experience with WinForms.
