R&D Principal Technologist

Overview

Work as part of AVEVA's Connect common services team to research, design and implement AVEVA's cloud platform using Microsoft Azure, leading others in implementing complex technical solutions at scale, including the application of AI-assisted development.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and debug software applications in C#/.NET
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and teams across our global organization
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain high-quality standards
• Work in an agile environment with continuous integration and deployment
• Contribute to both new features and maintaining existing codebases
• Grow your technical skills and share knowledge with the team
• Actively use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and quality

What you'll need

• Over 8 years of professional experience
• Proven strong design and coding skills with a reputation for delivering quality results quickly
• REST API design principles using C#/.NET
• Web development using Angular or equivalent
• Cloud development, especially Microsoft Azure
• CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools
• Familiarity with agile methodologies
