Overview
Drive product development quality across New Product Implementation (NPI) and large Grid and Power Systems (GPS) projects. Apply structured quality management methodologies across the project lifecycle to improve product quality, ensure compliance, mitigate risk and enhance customer satisfaction.
What you'll do
- Implement BU Product Development Quality strategies and support quality improvement initiatives for NPI and large GPS projects.
- Guide and monitor R&D and cross-functional teams in applying quality standards from project initiation through implementation.
- Ensure quality objectives are defined, integrated into project plans and executed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address quality requirements and enhance team capabilities.
- Support teams in collecting and analyzing quality data, including T-NPS, NCR, ETQ and Lessons Learned.
- Identify, translate and verify customer requirements into measurable quality criteria.
- Apply and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support audits, manage non-conformities and drive corrective actions.
- Implement quality assurance processes aligned with company regulations, industrial standards and external requirements.
- Ensure effective execution of the Gate Model and track quality requirements across project stages.
- Identify and mitigate product quality risks using FMEA, CoPQ analysis, reliability reviews and lessons learned.
- Oversee design control, change management, verification & validation, PPAP and control plans.
- Define and implement quality controls so products and systems meet applicable standards and customer expectations.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving activities for quality issues arising post design freeze or through change requests.
- Ensure data-driven corrective actions prevent recurrence and improve product reliability.
- Monitor project quality performance and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Share best practices and collaborate with BU R&D Quality teams and Technology Centers.
- Identify improvement areas and contribute to Quality Improvement Plans (QIP).
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong experience in Product Development Quality, R&D Quality or Quality Assurance within industrial or project-based environments.
- Proven experience handling NPI projects and large, complex engineering projects, such as power systems and grid solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), standards and regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience with FMEA, RCA, CoPQ, PPAP and control plans.
- Familiarity with Gate Model processes and product lifecycle quality management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to quality improvement.
- Experience managing non-conformities, audits and corrective/preventive actions.
- Good understanding of customer requirements management and quality metrics, including T-NPS and NCR.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement, innovation and quality excellence.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
