Requirement Engineer

Overview

Requirement Engineer for AUTOSAR-based software components in the automotive domain, creating and managing system and software requirements aligned to SYS2/SWE1 processes.

What you'll do

• Develop, analyze, and maintain SYS2 and SWE1 requirements for AUTOSAR-based software components.
• Ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable, and aligned to system architecture and specifications.
• Collaborate with architecture, development, and test teams to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability across requirements, design, implementation, and validation using requirement tools.
• Support change management, impact analysis, and requirement updates throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, ASPICE guidelines, and automotive software best practices.

What you'll need

• 3–6 years of experience in the automotive domain (AUTOSAR-based requirements engineering).
• Specialization in creating system and software requirements aligned with SYS2/SWE1 processes.
• Strong understanding of AUTOSAR Classic Platform including SWC structure, interfaces, and RTE behavior.
• Hands-on experience with requirements management tools: DOORS, Polarion, or Codebeamer.
• Understanding of embedded ECU behavior, CAN/LIN communication, and UDS diagnostics.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Model-Based Development (MBD) concepts and automotive software modeling workflows.
• Understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety fundamentals.
• Experience with test environments/tools such as TPT or CANoe.
• Knowledge of electrification/powertrain/high-voltage domain features.
• Experience working with global automotive OEM/Tier-1 teams.
