Sales Configurator Specialist

Overview

Join the CPQ (Configure Price Quote) team at INOPC in Chennai to drive digitalization, adoption and governance of the Sales CPQ ecosystem for the GIS/PASS or Capacitor Banks/MECB portfolio.

What you'll do

• Lead digitalization initiatives within the Sales community using platforms such as SFDC, Sales Configurator, PowerShop and related tools.
• Drive change management by understanding current processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Serve as the key technical interface between software development teams, subject matter experts and end users.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories and functional specifications for development.
• Maintain a strong understanding of business processes and product lines to support solution design.
• Provide technical support during gap analysis and liaise effectively with developers.
• Prioritize business cases and gap-analysis requirements to optimize delivery effectiveness.
• Conduct training sessions for key users and general users to support adoption.
• Collaborate with implementation managers to create and maintain a high-level roadmap and ensure milestone achievement.
• Maintain well-defined configurator scope documentation for each production unit and product line.
• Coordinate implementation activities for new production units or new product introductions within existing units.
• Validate configurator outputs through test cases prior to release to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Ensure governance mechanisms to monitor adoption of the sales configurator.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

What you'll need

• Proven experience as a technical business analyst in software projects using Agile methodology.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Prior experience in software delivery projects.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• SharePoint expertise.
• Experience with tools such as Salesforce and SAP.
• Exposure to high-voltage product sales or design.
