Overview
Design authority for Delta Faucet Company's Salesforce ecosystem within the Channel, Experience & Portfolio function of IT, owning the multi-year architecture of the platform and guiding its direction beyond individual projects.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end solution design across multiple Salesforce Clouds, including object and data model, security and sharing, automation strategy, and integration patterns, balancing near-term delivery against long-term maintainability.
- Translate business strategy into a multi-year platform architecture roadmap, recommend build vs. buy vs. configure, and sequence capability delivery.
- Act as trusted advisor to Sales, Marketing, Customer Solutions and channel partners, challenge requirements constructively, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Guide internal and partner development teams on best practices, data modeling, automation and API integration, and lead design reviews rather than perform hands-on build.
- Provide architectural oversight of third-party delivery partners and systems integrators, validate that proposed solutions leverage out-of-the-box functionality wherever possible, and hold external partners accountable to industry best practices, security protocols and company standards.
- Maintain architecture artifacts and decision records, and establish and enforce standards that minimize technical debt.
- Evaluate new platform capability, including Data Cloud and generative and agentic AI such as Agentforce, and form a defensible point of view on where it creates value while protecting brand, privacy and governance standards.
- Use prototypes and proof-of-concepts, built personally or directed through the team, to de-risk significant design decisions.
What you'll need
- 8+ years working with the Salesforce platform.
- 2+ years as the accountable architect on at least two full-lifecycle, multi-cloud implementations.
- Demonstrated design ownership across at least three of: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, CPQ/Revenue Cloud.
- Deep command of data modeling, security and sharing architecture, declarative automation strategy, Lightning Experience and integration patterns (REST/SOAP, event-driven, middleware).
- Sufficient depth in cross-cloud integration, Apex, LWC and API development to review, challenge and govern the work of developers; hands-on coding is not the primary function of this role.
- Track record of saying no to unnecessary customization and defending that position with business stakeholders and vendors.
- Ability to design solutions that align to long-term business goals and enterprise architecture standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical and executive audiences.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Executes responsibilities with limited oversight required.
