SAP CML Test Engineer

Overview

Test SAP Consumer and Mortgage Loans (CML) lending applications as part of the Lending Platforms team within Deutsche Bank's Private Bank Technology division, working with teams in Pune and Frankfurt.

What you'll do

• Develop, document and maintain functional and non-functional test plans, test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Execute manual and automated tests for SAP CML and integrated systems across SIT, UAT and regression testing.
• Identify, log and track defects, collaborate with development teams on root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution and re-testing.
• Apply knowledge of the mortgage business lifecycle (origination, servicing, closure) to create and manage realistic test scenarios.
• Work in close partnership with Requirements Engineers, Developers and Application Managers across Pune and Frankfurt to ensure shared understanding of requirements and quality standards.
• Provide clear, concise and timely reporting on test progress, defect status and overall quality to project stakeholders, and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies and tools.

What you'll need

• Proven, hands-on experience testing SAP Consumer and Mortgage Loans (CML) module.
• Strong understanding of CML configuration, processes and integration points.
• Minimum of 2+ years in a dedicated software testing role with a strong grasp of QA methodologies, tools and processes (STLC, SDLC).
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end mortgage lending business process, from application and underwriting to servicing and securitization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, multi-national team across different time zones.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with test management tools, particularly Tricentis Test, for planning and tracking test execution.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, especially Tricentis Tosca, for creating and maintaining automated test suites.
• ISTQB/ISEB or other relevant software testing certifications.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Experience with other SAP Banking Services modules (e.g., SAP BP, BCA) or FI/CO.
• German language skills.
