Overview
Scientist, Computational Biology role focused on data-driven discovery in crop protection using computational and bioinformatics approaches.
What you'll do
- Develop and apply computational methods to address Crop Protection Bioscience challenges.
- Design, test, and deploy data analysis tools, workflows, and modeling approaches.
- Communicate analytical results, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advise scientists on data quality, integrity, and suitability for analysis.
- Collaborate with the Bioscience Digital team and wider R&D data community to share learnings.
- Monitor external scientific and computational developments and identify application opportunities.
What you'll need
- MSc or PhD in computational biology, data science, natural sciences, or a related discipline.
- Focus area in data analysis, machine learning, or multi-omics data integration.
- Hands-on experience with Python and R for bioinformatics, data analysis, and visualization.
- Experience building, validating, and testing machine learning models.
- Experience with high-performance computing, version control systems, and reproducible digital workflows.
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with researchers from diverse scientific disciplines.
