Overview

Scientist I role in Thermo Fisher Scientific Research & Development (core cell culture) focused on developing and validating recombinant antibodies.

What you'll do

• Perform basic cell culture activities and PBMC isolation.
• Handle immunizations in different animals and coordinate with animal vendors.
• Run pre-screening, titer checks, and plan immunizations and boosters accordingly.
• Plan and execute ELISAs and perform RT-PCR to analyze data and select the correct clone.
• Initiate, plan, and execute primary screening research.
• Maintain lab inventory and record antigen, hyper-immune sera, and results in notebooks/databases; ensure data integrity and accuracy.

What you'll need

• 5–6 years of research experience.
• Master’s degree in life sciences or Master’s/Bachelor’s in cell biology/biotechnology or related life sciences.
• Hands-on experience with titer checks and immunization schedules.
• Automation experience in different steps of ELISA and RT-PCR.
• Experience with immunization and animal handling techniques.
• Ability to work in teams and mentor junior scientists.
