Senior Scientist, translational Biomarkers and Bioanalytics

Overview

Senior Scientist role in Takeda’s Biomarker Science and Technologies (BST) department within Preclinical and Translational Sciences (PTS), based in India and supporting global bioanalytical and biomarker scientific operations.

What you'll do

• Lead project management and process-related strategies and deliverables for the BST sub-team.
• Oversee operational deliverables across therapeutic modalities with a focus on efficient execution from India.
• Coordinate studies and programs by planning and managing timelines for key deliverables.
• Manage bioanalytical and biomarker outsourcing strategy, including vendor oversight and study timelines within CRO partnerships.
• Support implementation, maintenance, and improvement of preferred provider models for bioanalytical outsourcing.
• Ensure quality requirements for vendor compliance and data integrity.
• Provide scientific support for defined programs as needed.

What you'll need

• PhD in a scientific discipline with 3+ years experience, or MS with 9+ years experience, or BS with 11+ years experience.
• Experience managing multiple biomarker deliverables for concurrent clinical trials.
• Working knowledge of analytical methods including ligand binding assays, LC/MS, qPCR, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.
• Working knowledge of fit-for-purpose assay rigor (qualification, validation, etc.) to support clinical endpoints.
• Solid understanding of Quality Assurance requirements to ensure vendor compliance and data integrity.
• Working knowledge of FDA and ICH/GCP regulations and clinical laboratory specimen handling.
• Experience with sample management activities across multiple projects.
