Overview
Senior Quality Engineer embedded in the Reporting/BI Engineering team for the Certent Equity Management (CEM) platform, focused on quality for financial reporting and business intelligence.
What you’ll do
- Own quality of Reporting/BI deliverables from requirements review through release with adequate test coverage.
- Define, document, and execute test plans and cases for reporting features, SQL changes, BI enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Write Oracle SQL/PLSQL queries to validate report output against source data (correctness, accuracy, integrity, performance).
- Validate end-to-end report output fidelity in dashboards and exports, including parameters, totals, filtering, and drill-down.
- Use AI tooling to generate test plans/cases, edge cases, security scenarios, and test data.
- Build and maintain automated test suites, prioritizing SQL-based validation and API test coverage.
What you’ll need
- 6+ years of software quality engineering experience in enterprise SaaS environments.
- Hands-on experience writing SQL to validate data accuracy (row counts, field correctness, aggregations, relational integrity).
- Strong manual testing expertise to define test strategy and execute across functional, data accuracy, and non-functional scenarios.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tooling to augment test authoring.
- Proficiency in C# and hands-on experience with .NET test frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest).
- Experience with security testing concepts and tooling (e.g., OWASP, Burp Suite, injection vulnerabilities).
- Experience with defect tracking/test management tooling (JIRA and Xray).
