Overview
Security Engineer, Incident Response for Twilio’s Security Incident Response Team (SIRT), leading technical response to security events and incidents across the company’s global infrastructure, services, and applications.
What you'll do
- Lead and support responses to security events and incidents across Twilio’s global systems.
- Document incidents and projects and craft runbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate to address challenges related to a broad spectrum of threat actors and activity.
- Drive betterments from security events and incidents to improve security and reliability posture.
- Own the security incident lifecycle, including on-call rotation and participation in RCAs.
- Maintain relationships with internal teams to increase the impact of the incident response program.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of security incident response experience in a production-cloud environment.
- Subject-matter expertise in security issues and technologies.
- Ability to use AI for comprehensive, complex security incident response activities with high-fidelity detections.
- Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and experience with cloud-suitable security tools.
- Experience working across a technology stack on difficult security challenges and initiatives.
- Experience with SIEM platforms and extending their functionality.
- Experience with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence and build effective working relationships across the organization.
