Senior AI Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Applied AI Software Engineer, you will design and deliver complex AI-enabled product capabilities with minimal guidance. The role spans UI, APIs, services, and data pipelines, serving as a technical authority who mentors peers and raises engineering standards.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver complex features with minimal guidance, ensuring the backend engine and frontend experience are performant, secure, and scalable.
• Lead the entire lifecycle of digital banking products, from initial idea and architectural design to release and maintenance.
• Improve system architecture and design components that integrate smoothly across APIs and microservices.
• Act as a go-to resource for the team.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Conduct critical code reviews.
• Raise the bar for engineering standards.
• Contribute to the evolution of LLM-based voice assistants and real-time personalization engines using OpenAI and ML models.
• Implement Entitlements and fraud prevention services.
• Focus on non-functional requirements including security, scalability, and resilience.
• Collaborate in a Pod based model with Architects, Product Owners, and UX Designers to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Identify gaps in tooling, reduce technical debt, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline delivery.
• Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and get buy-in for architectural decisions.

What you'll need

• 5–7+ years of professional experience building complex, high-traffic products.
• Solid understanding of Java, Spring JPA/Hibernate, and Maven.
• Experience with Microservices and Cloud technologies.
• Strong skills in Angular and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with RxJS and modern build systems including Webpack and Jenkins.
• A solid grasp of Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Ability to design systems that handle complex data flows between services.
• Excellent English, spoken and written.
• Ability to confidently explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and get buy-in for architectural decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Netflix OSS.
• Experience with Vue.js.
• Previous experience in Fintech or Banking.
